Charles Thensted

Similarly to my time at the Southern Yacht Club, I have been a waiter at That's Amore Pizzeria. This restaurant is a family owned business that I had personal relations with and was a great place to work at. I carried the skills that I developed at the Yacht Club over to help me with my time here.

While I was a waiter at the Southern Yacht Club in New Orleans, it was my responsibility to provide exemplary service and a high class dining experience to all of our members and guests. This included taking care of all customer needs and making sure food was given correctly and promptly.

I was tasked to understand the logistics of postal services and carry out manually laboring assignments. Before working here, I was clueless as to how shipping services worked but I can confidently say that my knowledge has vastly improved.

I was a part-time employee for DCDD construction, where I did yard work, such as ripping out front and back yards, and leveling sod to lay new grass on top.

With my time as a barista for PJ's Coffee, I learned many valuable skills that I still use to this day. For this was my first job. I developed skills with dealing with customers, creating coworker relationships, and finding motivation to earn my own money.
