Currently hold three positions - Office Manager, Treatment Coordinator, and Insurance/Financial Coordinator. Started out as Appointment Coordinator, answering phones and scheduling all appointments, and keeping all patient forms and health information up to date. I am the only employee cross-trained to do all three positions.


As Office Manager:


  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to protocols. Report to corporate supervisors regarding production and collections.
  • Manage scheduling templates for patient appointments, optimizing calendar utilization for staff and patients.
  • Develop office policies that streamline administrative processes and improve overall efficiency.
  • Interviewing and hiring of perspective front office employees; train new staff members on office procedures, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality of company documents and personnel records.
  • Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling accounts payable/receivable transactions regularly to ensure balanced budgets.


As Treatment Coordinator:


  • Triage of new patients; responsible for taking records including health histories, x-rays, and digital scanning. Set up orthodontic treatment for new patients including treatment plans, lab prescriptions, scheduling, and all financial aspects of such.


As Insurance/Financial Coordinator:


  • Responsible for verification of benefits and filing all private insurance claims for 8 of our practice locations, and resolving insurance payment issues. Responsible for patient past due collections.
