The Subsea Engineer is responsible for the performance of all marine related subsea and surface well control, and associated equipment.

· Responsible for safety as well as that of the crew.

· Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour and weekly safety meetings.

· Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on all subsea equipment including but not limited to: BOP Stack and associated components of MUX control system, BOP handling equipment (BOP Crane, Transporter, Bulkhead Guides, Sea Fasteners, X-MAS Tree Cart and mini carts), Subsea High Pressure Unit, BOP Fluid Mixing System, and associated accumulators, BOP Test Stump, Crown Mounted Compensator, Active Heave Compensator, Marine Drilling Riser, Riser hydraulic handling equipment (Riser Yoke, Riser Trolley, etc.), Marine Riser Tensioners and associated equipment, HP Compressors and Standby APV's, Diverter, Diverter Control System and Diverter System Valves, Choke and Kill Manifold and associated control system, Moonpool maintenance baskets, MUX and Hotline Reels, Moonpool drape hoses.

· Coordinates all maintenance with management to ensure minimum impact on operations.

· Responsible for the Marine Riser and keeps accurate record of seal inspections on the Riser Master List.

· Makes space out calculation and prepares riser running sheet for each riser run.

· Monitors slip joint bearing and tensioner ring during heading changes.

· Documents equipment historical data for the purpose of reliability analysis and planning necessary upgrades.

Assistant Driller

The Assistant Driller assists in the planning and execution of all drilling operations for the main or auxiliary well centers. This position is responsible for ensuring the drill crews are properly assigned to their tasks and they are kept fully in the loop as to any changes of plans. The Assistant Driller oversees the drill crews verifying all relevant maintenance is performed on all drilling, hoisting, and mud circulating equipment while following directions from the well program in accordance with company policies and procedures in a safe and efficient manner.

• Follows standard instructions and maintains good communication with the Driller and Toolpusher; provides notification of any concern, ensuring any deviation is properly communicated and documented.

• Ensures that operations are planned, organized, supervised, and executed in accordance with well programs, rig move plans, the company's requirements and contractual obligations.

• Performs the drilling department’s daily checks.

• Assists service partners/third parties with the preparation of equipment for upcoming drilling operations.

• Organizes and supervises the drilling crews for all operations.

• Operates the pipe handling equipment for both main well and offline activities.

• Assists and relieves the Driller during drilling operations.

• Reads and interprets various gauges and meters relating to the drilling operations and assists the driller in maintaining records and logs.

• Maintains accurate record of tubular and tool dimensions in the hole (for instance but not limited to internal and external diameter, fish neck, serial numbers).

• Maintains accurate records of drilling line ton‐miles and assists the Driller ahead of time with the planning for slip and cut operations.

Derrickhand

The Derrickhand operates and maintains drilling and completion fluids circulating system and assists with the running of tubulars in/out of the hole. All duties will be conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, in a safe and efficient manner.

· Responsible for safety.

· Attends and participates in all pre-tour, post tour, and weekly safety meetings.

· Mixes prescribed materials and amounts into the drilling fluid circulatory system.

· Weighs the fluid at prescribed intervals and tests fluid viscosity assuring material with fluid specifications.

· Modifies drilling fluid content as directed, by adding and mixing clay, chemicals, oil, water etc. to accomplish fluid specifications change.

· Responsible for the safe storage of all mixing chemicals.

· Ensures team awareness of potential hazards while handling and mixing chemicals and ensures the highest level of practical protection is provided for all personnel.

· Performs preventative maintenance on all derrick equipment, mud pumps, and centrifugal pumps to ensure efficiency and safe operating condition.

· Performs preventative maintenance and repair on fluid system circulation pumps.

· Performs general housekeeping duties in the pump room to ensure work areas, equipment, and tools are maintained in clean condition and properly stored.

· Performs tasks as directed in preparation for rig moves and rig up or rig down.

· Carries out other activities as assigned by Driller or Assistant Driller.

· Performs tasks as required to rig up or rig down.

Floorhand

The Floorhand handles drilling tools and tubulars on the rig floor for the purpose of making up/breaking down drill string, riser, and other drilling systems on either the main or auxiliary well centers. The Floorhand also assists in the execution of all drilling operations in other areas of the vessel as required. All duties will be conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures, in a safe and efficient manner.

• Actively participates in daily pre‐tour meeting and pre‐job meetings as often as required by the operations. When a deviation from the planned operations is necessary, stops the work, regroups, and obtains approval prior to plan and implement the deviation.

• Follows standard instructions and maintains effective communication with the Assistant Driller; provides notification of any concern, ensuring any deviation is properly communicated and documented.

• Ensures operations are planned, organized, supervised, and executed in accordance with well programs, rig move plans, company requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Performs daily checks (i.e., QHSE checks, manifold line ups, etc.) as directed by the Assistant Driller.

• Operates rig tongs, wrenches, and other equipment required for making up or breaking out tubular; performs other tasks necessary for drilling operations.

• Uses manual and automated means to move, position, lift, pull, push, remove, and install tubular and other equipment as needed to perform the operation.

• Manually sets and removes slips from the rotary bore and around tubular as required.

• Washes down the rig floor areas using high pressure water, scrubbing brushes, and cleaning agents as required.

• Ensures all loads leaving the rig floor with the deck cranes are slung properly and have tag lines attached.

• Signals Crane Operator in bringing equipment to and from the rig floor in a safe and effective manner.

• Greases, lubricates, and performs planned maintenance and minor repairs to rig floor equipment and inspects machinery related to the drilling operation.

• Changes tong and slip ties using hand tools and personal protective equipment.

• Ensures hand tools and portable lifting equipment are properly maintained and stored.

• Cleans, services, and properly stores drilling subs, fishing tools, etc.

• Maintains the hygiene and housekeeping to Valaris standards with a particular focus on clear escape routes and walkways.

• Assists with operations in the shale shakers, cleaning mud tanks, mixing chemicals etc.

Roustabout

The Roustabout assists with deck and cargo operations on the rig at the immediate discretion of the Crane Operators(s) and Deck Pusher(s). This includes supporting all cranes operations, barrier activity, stowage of cargo, bulk materials, and drilling equipment, as well as adequate housekeeping in all related spaces. May also, at times, be required to assist with drilling operations.

· Cleans and organizes the deck, equipment, and all related work areas.

· Off-loads supplies from boats and moves them to storage areas at the direction of the Deck Pushers and Crane Operators.
