In-depth working knowledge of: mechanical, hydromechanical, electrical, and pneudraulic principles applying to jet and turboprop engines, and propellers; oil analysis principles; wear metal criteria and guidelines; concepts and application of maintenance directives. Experience conducting functional tests of repairs/modifications to ensure proper operation. In-depth knowledge of the startup, operation, shutdown, and emergency procedures for the systems and the aircraft; symptoms of normal and abnormal operation; the inter-relationships between operating systems; and activity safety procedures in order to prevent damage to equipment or injury to personnel. Expertise maintaining inspection and maintenance records using aircraft forms and GO81. Advanced skill in the use and maintenance of standard and specialized tools and test equipment.
