  • Monitoring an ongoing quality control system and continuously undertake quality checks (internal/external) in the laboratories for existing lab tests (e.g. malaria smear, TB microscopy, Stool routine examination, and urine analysis, hematology, HIV VDRL and other tests as required) in coordination with external partners (e.g., MOPH(Ministry of public health), SMRU, DMSc (Department of Medical Science), local hospitals and laboratories).
  • Coordination and facilitation the formulation of laboratory services detailed work plan with CBA (Camp based assistants).
  • Providing technical support to KnHD (Karenni health department) for the laboratory services and stock management, provide new and refresher trainings and on-the-job trainings.
  • Oversee the laboratory equipment inventories, maintenance and repair.
  • Make sure laboratory records are done correctly and confidentially.
  • Prepare the capacity building plan for the lab workers.
  • Laboratory progress reports, health information system and other documents are provided to IRC management and other agencies as required.
  • Participate the laboratory stock management including preparation of the purchase orders for laboratory supplies and equipment for laboratories and stock management.
  • Ensure development, documentation, and implementation of written protocols and standard operating procedures for laboratory activities.

  • Adhere to the administrative and technical procedures in the laboratory.
  • Perform various laboratory tests related to STD, AFB, CD4, malaria and HIV/AIDS, MDRTB for Gene expert and other project related investigations as required.
