Perform inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or grade and also assist in the calibration of grain inspection equipment.
Mark items with details such as grade or acceptance-rejection status.
Package agricultural products for shipment or further processing.
Obtain representative samples of grain and or commodities utilizing federal grain inspection procedures as specified by the Federal Inspection Service and the Agricultural Act.
Examine grain samples for discoloration, infestation, color, and separate and weigh damaged grain, debris, and foreign material based on FGIS standards.
Inspect shipholds, barges, railcars, trucks and other carriers to ensure proper condition for loading grain or other commodities.
Assist New Orleans Field Office personnel in testing a variety of scales used in official grain weight certification.
Perform gate check leaks at each facility and also monitor flow paths, inspect and document the condition of the flow control devices and spouting.
Assist QAS personnel in cutting down samples and assisting in performing grading samples and making sure my work is proficient.
