
Student-centered school leader and instructional strategist serving as Principal of Plain Dealing High School (PreK–12) in Bossier Parish, Louisiana, orchestrating campuswide improvement initiatives centered on essential standards, data-driven instruction, and robust systems for culture, attendance, and student engagement.

Leads schoolwide improvement efforts centered on grade-level instruction, rigorous Tier 1 teaching and learning, and data-driven decision-making through ILT structures, teacher collaborations, classroom walkthroughs, and timely feedback. Develops and coaches staff through observation cycles, targeted professional learning, and individualized support aligned to district frameworks and campus goals. Oversees master scheduling, intervention/enrichment structures, duty assignments, and daily campus operations to protect instructional time and improve student outcomes. Manages Title I planning and budgeting with strong attention to compliance and documentation, strengthens student engagement through expanded programs and partnerships, and collaborates with families, district leaders, and community stakeholders to sustain a cohesive culture of belonging and achievement.
Supported all aspects of school management, including student discipline, master scheduling, supervision of staff, and campus safety drills and protocols. Strengthened PBIS systems, redefined expectations, established student panels, and cultivated community and higher-education partnerships to support STEM initiatives and broader school goals. Supervised transportation and custodial staff, coordinated traffic plans, managed bus operations and payroll, hosted driver in-services, organized evacuation drills, and maintained facility work orders and key inventories. Expanded school financial practices by securing higher-yield accounts and implementing digital bookkeeping.
Led data-driven school improvement efforts, embedding PLCs and RTI into the schedule, coordinating EOC, ACT, WorkKeys, AP, and other assessments, and implementing interventions that contributed to gains in SPS, EOC, and ACT performance. Expanded AP and dual enrollment offerings, organized AP/Dual Enrollment Nights and parent events, and developed ACT-prep systems and technology tools for data tracking, walkthroughs, and electronic inventories. Analyzed school-wide performance data to identify priority needs, coached teachers on data use and instructional strategies, and supported the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan.
Taught Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and AP mathematics using standards-based, technology-rich instruction that emphasized problem solving and critical thinking. Used assessment data to differentiate instruction, mentored new teachers, and contributed to curriculum work, PLCs, PBIS, Senior Project, accreditation, and other leadership committees. Sponsored the National Honor Society and served as a member of the School Building Level Committee (SBLC) to support student success and school improvement initiatives.
Taught secondary mathematics, computer science, and Spanish courses designing lessons aligned to state standards and focused on foundational skills and conceptual understanding. Sponsored the yearbook and coordinated the Junior Ring Ceremony, fostering school spirit and student leadership. Collaborated with colleagues to support student achievement and classroom management, and began developing instructional practices that later informed leadership work in curriculum, assessment, and data use.
