I have been serving in the United States Air Force for 11 years. My job in the Air Force is an Electrical and Environmental craftsman. I troubleshoot electrical systems as well as environmental systems on air craft. All of the electrical systems involve both A/C and D/C systems, reading electrical wiring schematics, dealing with both high and low voltage systems, wiring repairs, and component replacement and repair. For the environmental systems I work with both oxygen and nitrogen systems, life support systems, pressurization, and air conditioning systems. I generally lead a team of 5 to 10 people everyday and held the NCOIC (Non Commissioned Officer in Charge) title as a staff sergeant. I have worked on the CV 22 Osprey for 4 years, the C5 Galaxy and C17 Globe-master for 4 years, and the B52 Bomber for 2.5 years. During this time I have deployed 3 times, won airmen of the quarter 2 times, won the Lt. General Leo Marquez Award, as well as multiple achievement medals and commendation medals. I also received my bachelor’s of science in electronics/electrical engineering technology at DeVry University and graduated with 3.49 GPA. I also received my masters of science at Liberty University in Engineering Management: project management with a GPA of 3.89. I have also received several certificates in basic soldering, Leadership courses, and advanced wire maintenance while serving in the Air Force. I have led/taught multiple classes addressing risk management while in the United States Air Force, while also touching on how to implement risk management skills in the work environment.
