Winder Operator

  • Responsible for operating and monitoring
    various paper-making and also the finishing process of the winder machinery.
  • Communicate with the Winder Assistant and the Control
    Operators to make proper adjustments and to start up
    or shut down machines as needed.
  • Make sure all orders are properly read, materials are available, equipment is properly set-up, and perform machine maintenance while following all safety work practices.
  • Duties include setting up machinery, monitoring machine
    operations, conducting quality control checks on the final product of paper, and making adjustments on winder if needed.
  • Operated various shop equipment such as Forklifts, Overhead Cranes, Clamp Trucks and the company Skid Steer.


Burn Table Operator

  • Run the CNC burn table as night shift operator.
  • When finished burning parts on table, I had to take them off and organize them on pallets for different departments.
  • Some parts required beveling before they left the burn department for which I then had to set up with a track torch.
  • Cutting up scrap metal plates, cleaning parts that were cut off the burn table that would further be used by the company, sweep the floors of the burn department, clean the CNC burn table once shift was over, etc.
  • Operated various shop equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, cutting torches and grinders.
