• Passionately and creatively communicated to ensure that my directly reporting team of over 35 clinical and clerical employees were engaged and aligned with department and system goals, initiatives, and processes including, but not limited to: department budgets, quality performance objectives, patient satisfaction, and employee engagement results.

RN Ambulatory Care Manager:

• Overall chronic disease care management for 4 primary care physician practices in the Acadiana Region. Successfully reduced hospital readmissions, exceeded goals in capturing of quality performance gaps and measures, improved clinical outcomes for all patients enrolled and under my management
• Served as one of the very first RN Ambulatory Care Managers for our entire system to introduce, pilot, support, and implement the roll-out/build of the population health and care management departments.
• Proposed, piloted, planned, and implemented the first Diabetes Roadshow to bring diabetic foot screenings, Hgb A1C screenings, and retinal exams into our rural communities
• Conferred with physicians to discuss diagnosis and prognosis, treatment options, disease process and
  management, and lifestyle options, dramatically reducing chance of symptom reoccurrence.
• Promoted to Non-Clinical Ambulatory Administration in January 2020

Clinical Service Leader:

• Overall management of operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, quality performance, and patient/employee/physician/APP satisfaction for 4 service lines including: Ophthalmology, Urgent Care, Staff Coordinators, and Diabetic Education.
• Successfully opened and managed the first safety-net Urgent Care Clinic in our entire region to service uninsured and underinsured patients.
• Successfully started, received accreditation for, and managed the first diabetic education program at our hospital.
• Served as the clinical content expert and liaison for all ambulatory services.
• Promoted to support pilot the first Care Management and Population Health program for our system in August 2018

Registered Nurse: Pediatrics & Ophthalmology Clinics:

• Became the first certified hospital Synagis Coordinator for high-risk infants.
• Inducted into the clinical ladder program for high performing registered nurses
• Served as RN preceptor for all new hire nurses in both of these departments: trained new nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures and safety protocols.
• Collaborated with physicians to quickly assess patients and deliver appropriate treatment of patients undergoing various therapies and procedures.
• Promoted to clinical leadership in May 2017

• Implemented first ever big sister/little sister nursing buddy system to promote retention of new nurses
