Mekhi Johnson

My name is Mekhi Johnson, and I am currently a sophomore at the University of New Orleans, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I have hands-on experience developing full-stack web applications using modern technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Chart.js on the frontend, as well as Python’s FastAPI on the backend. I am skilled at building RESTful APIs, handling user input validation, integrating third-party APIs like CoinGecko, and managing cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) for seamless frontend-backend communication.

In addition, I have a strong foundation in data analysis and visualization, while I have been working extensively with Pandas and I am currently learning R (using tools like ggplot2) to clean, process, and display real-world data. I have a basic understanding of debugging issues across the stack—using browser developer tools, analyzing network requests, and interpreting backend logs—to deliver robust, user-friendly applications. My experience spans building dynamic dashboards, automating data workflows, and creating interactive visualizations, particularly in the context of financial and crypto data. I am passionate about continuously learning new tools, adapting quickly to new technologies, and solving complex problems—making me ready to contribute to data-driven and tech-forward teams.
