- Test voltage in customers meters who have a service saver on their meter and determine whether it is a hot leg fault or a neutral fault. Dig in a new service if needed or locate the fault with a secondary thumper and dig up the fault and repair with a splice.
- Make up transformers including the secondary side or making up the elbows for the primary wire.
- Maintained a safe working environment by following strict safety protocols and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Repair primary underground cables by isolating and testing the cable with the von and locating the fault, working between grounds to ensure safety while splicing the wire.
- Make up/ repair risers
- Sign, turn in, and make up the proper paperwork such as heat sheets, JHAs, or DCO sheets.
- Added or removed wire to shorten or lengthen lines, using various types of splices, connectors and clamps.
