  • I have worked in the Film Industry for the past 12 years. This is different from Paramedic Field work and closer to Occupational Medicine. As a Set Medic in the Film Industry, I am responsible for no less than 160 people daily. This does not include days with additional crew for Stunts, Special Effects, and Background Talent, which can easily be an extra 100 people. I am primarily responsible for the crew's well-being, daily medicinal requirements, and workers' comp paperwork, should there be a recordable incident. Film Productions work in all environments, for which I must be prepared to work in as well.
  • Delivered advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) under pressure.
  • Delivered compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical emergencies, including cardiac arrests, traumas, strokes, and respiratory distress.
  • Improved patient outcomes by providing timely and accurate assessments, treatments, and interventions.
  • Worked en-route to hospital to prepare patients for arrival or surgery and control wounds.
  • Developed and maintained rapport with coworkers and local hospital staff to facilitate efficient patient care.

Not in any particular order, East Jefferson Hospital EMS, Westwego EMS, Priority EMS, MedicONE, AMR, Lifeguard Ambulance, Guardian, Pafford EMS, Acadian Ambulance Service, Washington Parish Ambulance Service, Emergystat.
  • Delivered life-saving treatments such as defibrillation, intubation, intravenous therapy, wound care, fracture stabilization, and drug administration following established guidelines.
