Senior Associate, Environmental Engineer

Some of Sparkle's experience with Stantec (previously MWH Global) includes:

  • Sparkle acted as the Program Design Manager on the City of New Orleans Sanitary Sewer System Evaluation and Rehabilitation Program (SSERP) for the final three years of the program. She managed the expediated design and bid of 18 sewer rehabilitation projects within one year to help the City of New Orleans meet their Consent Decree deadlines. She also coordinated with Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality regarding funding and with New Orleans Department of Public Works to coordinate SSERP work with ongoing and future DPW projects.
  • Sparkle acted as Project Technical lead as well as mechanical and civil design leads for multiple large sewer pump station projects at part of the Baton Rouge SSO Program, including Central Pump Station/PS42 Improvements, O'Neal Lane Pump Stations Group A, and Multiple Pump Stations - Prescott Road/Greenwell Springs Road projects. Sparkle led design teams of up to 30 people through conceptual planning, engineering design, bidding and construction services.
  • As project engineer on the Waterline Replacement Program for Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, Sparkle helped design water line replacements throughout New Orleans in select neighborhoods, including development of plan and profile drawings, coordination with surrounding utilities and coordination between projects.
  • Sparkle worked on two projects for Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department to help them meet a concent decree on their wastewater treatment plants. As part of these projects, Sparkle inspected the odor control facilities serving the headworks facilities for both the Central and South District Wastewater Treatment Plants. She helped prepare drawings and specifications for the demolition and replacement for all of the mechanical equipment and piping related to the odor control facilities. She also helped coordinate the design team and deliverables, throughout design, bidding and construction phase services.
