• Conduct weekly progress reports for Crude Unit service monitoring and troubleshoot desalter performance and overhead corrosion control for MPC by collection of process samples, analytical laboratory work and process simulation.
• Updated MPC desalter operations guideline and trained unit operators on the new procedures.
• Work closely with crude schedulers to keep track of potential problematic receipts or blending techniques that could negatively impact desalter performance.
• Provide weekly progress report for Coker Unit by monitoring antifoam usage rates with respect to drum outages, and continually improving injection setup to ensure DHT catalyst will not be poisoned by Si loading due to over injection of antifoam.
• Supplied antifoam training documents to unit operators and day foreman to lay out the importance of over injection and the background on the chemistry.
• Help lead customer area team monthly meetings to discuss to current operations, chemical budgets, and project status.
• Competent in chemical tote transfers and bulk deliveries while utilizing the EFDC and customer delivery checklist.
• Host lunch and learns with BH SMEs to upskill and brief customer on industry best practices.
• Participate in annual business reviews to RLT.
• Perform multiple lab services such as; dose response testing for current chemical optimization, bench testing for potential new applications, microbial testing for tank monitoring and treatments, and quick asphaltene shake out tests.
• Track chemical inventory closely to ensure chemical ordering projections are accurate to avoid run out and budget concerns.
• Receiving customer inquires and responding appropriately with general technical support, in collaboration with Baker Hughes’ Technology Group, as necessary.
• Compliance on perfect HSE days.

PROJECTS

• Delivered $1MM benefit to customer by remediating Sour naphtha from sat gas plant while GDU was undergoing an outage.
• Lead SWS project and recommended a demulsifier or water clarifier in the sour water storage tank to prolong the life of the stripped sour water exchangers and reboiler.
