- Responsible for routine procedural maintenance and addressing any issues for tooling equipment related to piercing and roughing mills.
- Manages roll inventory and ensures that mill has equipment needed in a timely manner whether visually or by communicating with operations.
- Machining of piercing, roughing, and finishing mill rolls to required specifications and with appropriate measuring instruments and verifies redressed rolls are within correct tolerances.
- Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of CNC lathes as required.
- Trains new hires in appropriate procedures and best safety practices.
- Use of SAP to put in purchase and maintenance requisitions as well as order from warehouse inventory.
- Address any maintenance issues with roll shop equipment and make sure they are corrected as soon as possible.
- Participates in projects and answers fabrication needs for roll shop as they occur.
