Summary

My name is Kendric Baker, a 38 year old, born in Pineville, LA on October 1, 1985 at Huey P. Long Hospital. I Graduated from Peabody High School with a 3.0. I was a top athlete in Basketball and Baseball. I also attended Northern Arkansas College where I also maintained a 3.0 and I was on scholarship for basketball where I received the award (MVP of the Region). I went on to Grambling State University where I continued to play basketball and I maintained a 2.8. I stop going to college due to
me having a daughter. I later had two sons. I am currently married to Mrs. Jacklene Webb and we have a 2 year
old son and I also have a 14 year old stepdaughter and an 18 year old stepson whom I love and care for as my own. I am currently employed with Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office. My previous jobs were Alexandria Police Department, Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office and Canadian National Railroad. I was a part of Alexandria Police Department from February 2013 - September 2020. I was a Patrolman from 2013 to 2015 and in the Community Police Division from 2015 to 2020. I resigned and was later employed with Rapides Parish Sheriff's Department as a School Resource Officer from September 2020 to March 2023. During my time with the Sheriff's Department. I was a part of the Crisis Intervention Team (C.I.T). Currently my skills are: I am skilled at using my hands ( handy work and protection), de-escalating situations, verbal communication, using good judgement, multitasking, taking responsibility, critical thinking, active listening and attention to detail and sound judgement. I am interested in being a part of the Louisiana State University Police Department because I believe I can be a big help in the Campus as far as enforcing the law and making sure myself and my fellow Officers make it home safe to their families. I want to add that working on a school campus would be great because that is the best place an Officer could get you adults ready for the after school life on top of performing our daily duties. I would greatly appreciate if I was selected to be a part of the team.
Thank You all for your time
